Obama: 2009-2013 - By the numbers

Is America better off now than it was four years ago when President Barack Obama took office? It depends on the numbers you want to crunch.
Then: $208,600 in January 2009

Now: $248,900 projected for December 2012
In 2011, 62 percent of all new single-family homes sold were financed by a conventional loan. The proportion was 58 percent in 2010 and 62 percent in 2009. The proportion that were financed by an FHA-insured loan was 20 percent in 2011, 25 percent in 2010, and 24 percent in 2009.
