As the sun rose on Saturday, November 24, the damage to downtown Springfield became clear after a massive natural gas explosion the night before.

Bricks Everywhere
The blast sent bricks and broken glass flying for blocks beyond the area of the explosion on Worthington Street. Bricks remain strewn all over the ground near the blast site.
