The Flying Wallendas are stunt performers, known for highwire acts without a net.
The Flying Wallendas of Sarasota, Fla., perform their seven-person Grand Pyramid at the Michigan State Fairgrounds in Detroit Friday, March 6, l998. This was the third show in Detroit this week for the Wallendas to perform the stunt which killed two members and injured three others in the same spot Jan. 30, l962. The Wallendas will perform the stunt 38 times during the 17-day Shrine Circus which begins Friday, March 6, l998.
